Judge me all you want (no really, I’d kill for constructive criticism)
But I’m really proud of this shot. Hope you guys enjoy?
(hahah does anyone even look at this blog.)
An edit of a path taken for my photography project heavily focused on Nostalgia and sentiment.
I edited this a few times and this has to be one of my favourites. Its not too complicate either but I love the contrast. I used auto levels then decreased the brightness, added highlights, shadows and also added contrast. The result being this. The shot before was something I liked but with the added effect and I think it just adds something to overall affect of the photo.
Perhaps not the best shot from today but I don’t know. I kind of like how this one turned out. I was unsure how they would all turn out and was nervous a lot of them would come out blurry (some did but then that happens a lot to me). But yeah I was inspired by the colour the sky was at the time though the photo’s don’t really capture that at all which is a shame.
[ As you can see the shot has been rotated though I think it works the way it is now. ]
Though I was thinking of linking this in with my Interior/exterior shoot and using it for my photography class. Not that this was exactly planned and perhaps I should try and put more thought into it before I actually do. Just sticking it in my sketchbook won’t do.
More from my photography project.
The original photo is the bottom photo and the others are ones which were edited using Photoshop. Since for the class we were told that we need to experiment even if the outcome isn’t something we are 100% happy with. I admit I was kind of hoping he would go into more technical terms and show us more complicated things we could do using it. Though a part of me is hoping he still will later. I think what I produced is okay not that I am ever my best critic. I just hope that when you look at these photo’s they spark emotion and feelings which overall is the aim.
Once again these photo’s were taken under the theme of light and shadows. My approach to this was sentiment, nostalgia, time and childhood. I hope I capture that in the photo’s I took.
Photo I’ve taken for my photography project on Light and Shadows.
I’ve been focusing on Nostalgia, time, sentiment and childhood. Visiting parks and certain place was an interesting way to do that. I like the original shot of this yet I think it adds something by flipping it.
The photo was taken in a park I used to visit often when I was younger. Actually this is something that I did play on when I was younger; hence the extra added touch of nostalgia so overall I think it is really fitting for what I’m going for.
